WHAT IS CMYK PRINTING ?

The CMYK color model (also known as process color, or four color) is a subtractive color model, based on the CMY color model, used in color printing, and is also used to describe the printing process itself. CMYK refers to the four ink plates used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).

The CMYK model works by partially or entirely masking colors on a lighter, usually white, background. The ink reduces the light that would otherwise be reflected. Such a model is called subtractive because inks "subtract" the colors red, green and blue from white light. White light minus red leaves cyan, white light minus green leaves magenta, and white light minus blue leaves yellow.

In additive color models, such as RGB, white is the "additive" combination of all primary colored lights, black is the absence of light. In the CMYK model, it is the opposite: white is the natural color of the paper or other background, black results from a full combination of colored inks. To save cost on ink, and to produce deeper black tones, unsaturated and dark colors are produced by using black ink instead of the combination of cyan, magenta, and yellow.

WHAT IS UV SUBSTRATE PRINTING AND UV INK ?

Substrate is used in a converting process such as printing or coating to generally describe the base material onto which, e.g. images, will be printed onto mostly direct to media, objects or items that has a flat surface.

SOME USES OF UV SUBSTATE PRINTING

Advertising industry, fashion house decoration, leather printing processing, personalized design and photo printing for all crafts and giftware, includes the cylindrical cups, art ceramic printing, high-grade packaging, product panel printing, product logo printing, toy color printing, jigsaw puzzle color printing, product number printing, nameplate printing and photo art etc.

UV ink is a type of ink where ultra-violet lights dry or cure the ink. It was introduced in the early 1970s. However, it gained popularity only in early 2000s. According to industry experts, UV inks dramatically improve the efficiency, cost of production, and quality of the output.

They further add that UV inks have outstanding chemical and physical properties and don’t require any protective varnish. Additionally, their fast curing process also allows printers to save energy and yield a high output level. The most exciting part about UV inks is that they are economical and do a better job than solvent and water-based inks.

Another significant feature of UV inks is that it seamlessly adds intense colors, unlike other variants. Being able to print sharper and finer dots, it provides printers with the opportunity to print high-quality printed materials, thereby adding value to the product.

The stability of UV inks is another major reason behind their surging popularity all over the world. As the ink only cures when exposed to high-intensity UV light, it needs no modification or adjustments to remain at the same viscosity level.

WHAT IS FIBER LASER MARKING ?

Fiber laser markers have a 1090 nm wavelength, making them IR (infrared) lasers. Fiber lasers can mark a wide range of materials, though they are optimized for metal marking applications. Their high power makes them perfect for annealing and engraving applications, but they cannot mark transparent objects since IR light passes straight through.

WHAT IS CO2 LASER ENGRAVING \ CUTTING ?

The CO2 laser cutting machine, or CO2 laser cutter is a type of CNC laser machine using CO2 laser technology to cut and engrave materials. As the CO2 laser cutting machine can also engrave, the CO2 laser cutting machine is also called CO2 laser engraving machine or CO2 laser engraver. Besides, some people also call it wood laser cutter or acrylic laser cutter, etc. The CO2 laser cutting machine uses a focusing lens to focus the CO2 laser beam onto the surface of the material to melt it. At the same time, the coaxial compressed gas blows away the molten material. The laser beam moves along a certain path, forming a slit of a certain shape. Then the cutting process completes.

WHAT IS ECO SOLVENT PRINTING AND ECO SOLVENT INK ?

Eco-solvent inks have their colours suspended in a mild biodegradable solvent, which means that the ink has virtually no odour as they don’t contain as many volatile organic compounds. They’ve been around since the early 2000s and originally were designed for general signage work.

The lack of smell is a real plus point for eco-solvent inks. In some solvent inks not only do you get a strong smell during the printing process, meaning you need to consider the placement of your printer, but they can also leave an odour on the printed material itself. This can rule out printing onto material which will be displayed or used indoors.

Having less volatile organic compounds also means that the eco-solvent printing cartridges are not so damaging, or deteriorating, to your printer components and as such you won’t need to do full system cleans quite so often – although as with any type of printing you will need to do regular cleaning and maintenance of your printer from time to time.

Eco-solvent printing does require more heat in order to dry and this can affect the type of material you can print on. What’s more, the ink is not as durable as solvent inks. While it’s adequate for outdoor printing work, it’s best to only use it for applications which need to last a year or two.

SOME USES OF ECO SOLVVENT PRINTING

Print on PVC Flex banner, vinyl sticker, tarpaulin thus common outdoor medias, they can also print on artist canvas, pear banner, beach banner, roll up banner, advertising tents, wall paper and wall sticker, photo paper, PP paper, feather flag, teardrop flag, Tension fabric etc.
